Margaret Walters Memorial Foundation

Story

Margaret Walters met her husband, Alan, in late 1980 and the two wed in early 1983. Together, Margaret and Alan built their one and only family home and raised their two children, Scott and Maxine. Margaret was thrilled when she then became a first time grandmother in 2020 to Scott's daughter Audrey.

In the early hours of September 29 2021, Margaret passed away peacefully in her family home in the company of those she loved. She was only 68 years old.

Margaret lived an active life, balancing work while raising her children. She was disciplined and strong, but instilled in her children the importance of family. For Margaret, every Christmas was a cause for celebration, a time to eat too much and drink together, a time to wear Santa hats in extreme heat, break Christmas crackers, and share lots of laughs; all with her family.

The photo of Margaret and Audrey was taken only 2 weeks prior to Margaret's passing. With your generous contribution, we will create a future for Audrey's generation where colorectal cancer is fought with a greater set of tools, and where many happy Christmases are celebrated together with their families.

Thank you sincerely,
The Walters Family
